| On the morning of August, 16th, 2008, Suzhou Dafang 3200tons Transporter (Coupling Operation) successfully accomplished to transport ship blocks of more than 40m width, 2000 tons weight at Daewoo Shipyard (Korea), setting up the largest tonnage coupling operation technology of shipyard transporter in Asia.
The transporter is coupled by 2 units 1000t and 2 units 600t transporters, which effectively solve the transportation of oversize and overweight ship blocks, flexibly carry the heavy duty blocks even in small area, greatly save human and financial costs and improve efficiency.
It’s reported that operation modes of the coupling transporter is as flexible as the single transporter, which is another breakthrough of Suzhou Dafang in technology innovation. |
